Who we are
Who we are
We are a community of Amtgard groups, a Live Action Role Play (LARP) system and community that has players all over the nation. Our Kingdom's groups span parts of Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey.
Each group, known as a "Park" regularly gets together in a designated public park on a regular basis, usually every week. We are a relaxed environment, you don't need to worry about understanding everything right away!
Kingdom of Crystal Groves strives to be as inclusive a community as possible; proactively taking steps to make our space as welcoming to those from all walks of life.

"Live Action Role Play" that offers a wide variety of experiences. Amtgard is a LARP system and community with a focus on team fighting games using foam weapons. We offer a Roleplay environment with a Medieval Sword & Sorcery Fantasy flavour, and allow for playing many different "classes" during battles each having a collection of abilities & spells, with effects defined in the Amtgard ruleset. You swing the foam sword, and speak the incantation for your spell.
Our experience doesn't end at combat, however! We have many non-combat roleplay opportunities; communities of creative people practicing a wide variety of crafts, such as sewing garb, writing poems, drawing art, constructing foam weapons and armor, and so much more.
First and foremost, we are a network of friends, sharing in the fun experiences we create.
